Kona Kai elopement photography

Kona Kai elopement photography clients realise it’s better to wed with fewer folks than skip the wedding completely. Fear of catching and spreading COVID19 has slowed would be Key Largo wedding clients in their willingness to mingle. The groups have become so small we call them elopement weddings now.

Is a small affair. Just you two the officiant, the witness and the photographer. And, even though elopement typically means ‘run away and get married’ the modern day meaning is more like a ‘very small wedding. So don’t let the term elopement shock you! into thinking more and more couples are running away to get married without the knowledge of everyone in their lives.

We have had clients who wanted a planned specific time line of events and adhered rigidly to that. But put this Kona Kai elopement photographer and film maker at their wedding on the beach, and you will see great results that get featured in magazines.

Kona Kai is beautiful. Come rain or shine….the most gorgeous shots we have here are when it’s overcast and grey, with tempestuous looking clouds. It really is fabulous when it’s not bright blue sky and sunny. The grey backdrop brings out the colours and eloping couple’s features magnificently.

As we persistently attempt to emerge in these small ways from the turmoil of a virus bent on destruction, we are learning to reduce the size of gatherings. And learning a new appreciation of distancing whilst in each others company. And sanitation.

The Kona Kai Resort in Key Largo is the most idyllic setting I’ve ever found for photography of every kind.

Peace and tranquillity are second only to the beauty of the landscaped gardens, the art gallery and orchid garden. One of my absolute faves has to be the subtly lit beach walk.

Sunsets here are so epic – with only 13 meticulous, classically decorated French – modern style cottages the overcrowding is not an issue, and when it’s full occupancy is very manageable.

city & river – english wedding inspiration photography

Good Day! English Wedding Inspiration here. We have been traveling around seeking wedding inspired perspectives and angles. Found – January’s Wedding Inspiration starts in Sloane Square.

For a cool but not freezing January in our beautiful English capital city and a riverside Sunday at Walton-On-Thames.

This wedding inspiration, our first in 2020, we took the indomitable Sony Alpha 9 out for a morning meander in Sloane Square and a lunch time languish in the country.

Walton-On-Thames is Wedding Ready

Sincerely – the swans and the decor inspired us to spend some time investigating. This great spot was definitely naturally Wedding Ready!

Insert Wedding Party Here

Deftly blending form and function – this ‘Classic Inn’ gives the feel of tradition paired with modern trends.

There are fabulously appointed rooms and furnishings. Classic mixed with overlook of the fiercely flowing river!

We loved the crosses oars adorning the wall, and the hand painted signage. Calligraphy and its applications today are always so alluring and luxurious. And it’s all over this Riverside Inn. Happily!

Sunday Lunch – ‘The Angler’s, Walton-On-Thames‘ absolutely iconic and famous for its food, river side tables, views and bar offerings.
